Kylie Emanuele of Mount Olive Named D2CCA Softball All-American
MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. - The University of Mount Olive's Kylie Emanuele was named to the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-American team. Emanuele earned third-team All-American honors.
Emanuele ranked repeatedly in the top-five in batting average in Conference Carolinas, including leading at the end of the regular season with a .465 mark. She ended the year with a conference second-best .443 average. Emanuele also finished in the top five in hits, RBIs, doubles, triples and runs scored. She was also a first-team All-Conference Carolinas selection and A first-team D2CCA All-Region selection.
The freshman becomes the second-ever All-American in Mount Olive program history and the first since Michelle Matthews in 2000. Matthews was inducted into the UMO Athletics Hall of Fame in 2011.
