Five From Conference Carolinas Named USILA Men's Lacrosse All-Americans

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five student-athletes from Conference Carolinas have been selected to the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America teams.

The USILA NCAA Division II All-America first team featured two from Mount Olive with Brady Elbin named to the first team as a short stick defensive midfielder and Jacob Williams chosen to the first team at defense. In addition, Elbin shared national Short Stick Defensive Midfielder of the Year honors with Connor Baughan of Bentley. 

USILA South Region Defensive Player of the Year Andrew Avarello of Mount Olive was selected to the second team at goalie. 

The third team featured Tavian Cooley of Mount Olive on defense and Collin Grippo of Belmont Abbey as a short stick defensive midfielder. 

In addition, Noah Haas of Belmont Abbey and Lucas Shein of Belmont Abbey were Honorable Mention All-Americans. 

Players selected for All-American were nominated by their coach and then received votes from the All-American Committee.
