Conference Carolinas in Position for Special Saturday at 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships
ALLENDALE, Mich. – Conference Carolinas put itself in position for a special Saturday at the 2021 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships with more qualifying for finals on Friday.
Zai Fraser of Lees-McRae finished in 15
th in the triple jump with a mark of 11.92 meters. The mark was the best among freshmen at the national championship meet.
Both Emmanuel’s Jharna Alston and Southern Wesleyan’s Jami Wright advanced to the final of the women’s 200 meters. Alston finished third with a qualifying time of 23.85, while Wright posted a qualifying time of 24.04.
In the men’s 200 meters, North Greenville’s Tevin Richardson qualified for Saturday’s final with a time of 21.36.
