Three From Conference Carolinas Earn Spot on CoSIDA Academic All-District® 3 Team
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three of the six spots on the 2020-21 Academic All-District® 3 NCAA Division II Women’s Basketball Team, selected by CoSIDA, went to student-athletes from Conference Carolinas.
Owning an impressive 4.00 grade-point average, Lees-McRae’s Destiny Johnson was chosen to the CoSIDA Academic All-District® team along with Allie Downing (3.98) and Maria Kuhlman (3.99) of Belmont Abbey. All three were selected as all-conference performers in the 2020-21 season.
As first-team Academic All-District® honorees, the trio now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
