Reed Parris of Mount Olive and Bennett McCann of King Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District® 3 Team Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Reed Parris of Mount Olive and Bennett McCann of King were chosen to the 2020-21 Academic All-District® 3 NCAA Division II Baseball Team that is selected by CoSIDA.
A junior right-handed pitcher from Kinston, North Carolina, Parris boasts a 3.81 grade-point average as an Accounting major. A junior outfielder from Ringgold, Virginia, McCann owns a 3.55 grade-point average as a Cell and Molecular Biology major.
As first-team Academic All-District® honorees, the duo now advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.
The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada.
The Division II and III CoSIDA Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2020-21 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CoSIDA Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA national office.
