Conference Carolinas to Return to Mount Olive for 2021 Fall Cross Country Championships

MOUNT OLIVE, N.C. – Conference Carolinas will return to the University of Mount Olive for its 2021 Fall Cross Country Championships.
 
“We are excited to be back on the Mount Olive campus for our Cross Country Championships,” Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “The 2020-21 academic year was obviously unique in many ways, but we truly appreciate Mount Olive’s willingness to have our cross country student-athletes return to their campus to officially kick off our 2021-22 Championships schedule. We know Mount Olive will help us provide a first-class experience for our student-athletes and allow us to fully showcase our elite runners in Conference Carolinas.”
 
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Fall Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Oct. 23 in Mount Olive, North Carolina.
 
“The University of Mount Olive is looking forward to once again hosting the conference Cross Country Championships,” Mount Olive Vice President for Athletics Jeff Eisen said. “Unfortunately the Championships were one of the casualties of the pandemic last fall, but we are excited to have it back on our campus and resume its position as one of the highlights of the fall sports season.”
 
The 2021 Conference Carolinas Spring Cross Country Championships were held at a neutral site at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Mount Olive last hosted the Cross Country Championships in its normal fall position on Oct. 26, 2019.
