GREENVILLE, S.C. – Commissioner Chris Colvin has unveiled the addition of Victoria Wilson as a Conference Officer for the 2021-22 academic year.
Wilson joins the Conference Carolinas office after most recently serving as a graduate assistant at the James Madison University Hart School and as an intern in the Bridgewater College athletics department.
“We are truly excited to welcome Victoria to Conference Carolinas,” Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “Victoria has successfully juggled two jobs over the last year while also attending graduate school. She has more than shown with her background that she is capable of thriving while handling multiple tasks. She truly is one of the rising stars in college athletics and I believe she will be an asset to all of our member institutions in this role.”
Wilson’s role at the Hart School at James Madison was to assist professors and department staff with administrative tasks while also mentoring student assistants. She also took the lead on numerous projects in her role.
As an intern at NCAA Division III Bridgewater College, Wilson helped to manage NCAA compliance database work, athlete eligibility, rosters and the five-year institutional self study. She also assisted the athletics business operations manager with the budget and EADA reports. In addition, Wilson served as the Director of Game Day Operations and as a Game Manager for a variety of athletic events.
Wilson has served at a conference office before as she was an intern with the NCAA Division III Old Dominion Athletic Conference in 2019. She assisted with ODAC and NCAA Division III Championships both during her time as an intern. Wilson also served as an intern with the Valley Baseball League where she helped with video research and developing graphics.
A four-year starter with the Bridgewater College volleyball team, Wilson received Honorable Mention All-America accolades during a 2018 season in which she also served as team captain. She was a member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during her time as a student-athlete. Wilson served as the Treasurer for the Bridgewater SAAC in 2016-17 and as the Vice President from 2017-19.
The Virginia native received her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Bridgewater College in May of 2019. She also earned a minor in Nutrition and Wellness. Wilson just recently earned her Master of Science in Sport and Recreation Leadership from James Madison in May of 2021.
