BRISTOL, Tenn. - Conference Carolinas will return to the campus of King University for its 2022 Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship.

The 2022 Conference Carolinas Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship will begin with the semifinals on Saturday, April 9, 2022. The second day will feature the Event Finals in the morning with the championship meet scheduled for later in the day on Sunday, April 10, 2022.

"After a historic April of 2021 partnering with King and our member institutions for our inaugural Acrobatics & Tumbling Championship, we are thrilled to be able to return for our second year," Commissioner Chris Colvin said. "Our first-ever championship was exciting for all involved, but we eagerly anticipate continuing to build on the strong foundation set in place in 2022. Our acrobatics & tumbling student-athletes are exceptional representatives of Conference Carolinas and I am looking forward to so many more learning about this amazing sport by watching our teams compete at an elite level."

Conference Carolinas will have nine programs competing in acrobatics and tumbling in the 2021-22 academic year in Belmont Abbey, Chowan, Coker, Converse, Emmanuel, King, Lander, Limestone and Mars Hill.

"Conference Carolinas continues to be an innovator and leader in the NCAA," King Director of Athletics David Hicks said. "As one of only two conferences sponsoring acrobatics & tumbling as a championship sport, it’s an honor and privilege to work alongside the conference office and our member institutions to provide this amazing experience for our student athletes. Last year’s Championship was a tremendous success, and we look forward to providing another memorable experience for the Conference Carolinas student-athletes."
