Mount Olive’s Tobi Azeez Named to CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team

AUSTIN, Texas  - Tobi Azeez of Mount Olive has been selected to the 2020-21 Academic All-America® NCAA Division II Men’s At-Large Team as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). 
 
The Conference Carolinas Offensive Player of the Year, Azeez was named an NVA/AVCA Division I-II Men's Volleyball Honorable Mention All-American. Azeez led Conference Carolinas in kills per set (4.58) and was second in the league in points per set (5.29).
 
In the classroom, the junior from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, boasts a 3.98 grade-point average as a Biology major.

The Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects of the 2020-21 Division II Academic All-America® teams’ program.

The at-large program for the CoSIDA Academic All-America® program includes the sports of fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming and diving, tennis, water polo for both men and women; bowling, crew and field hockey for women; and volleyball and wrestling for men.
