Conference Carolinas Welcomes Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke Staff and Coaches in Person
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas league office spent two days this week visiting the campuses of new member institutions Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke.
Earlier this week on Aug. 2 and 3, Conference Carolinas first held its annual fall meetings with the productive and important two days of meetings for the Directors of Athletics also including meetings for the Senior Woman Administrators, the athletic trainers, the communication professionals and the Faculty Athletic Representatives in Conference Carolinas.
Conference Carolinas followed up the crucial meetings by traveling to UNC Pembroke on Wednesday, Aug. 4 and then Francis Marion on Thursday, Aug. 5 to participate in athletic all-staff meetings.
As part of the athletic department meetings on each campus, Conference Carolinas worked with Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke to discuss many of the important things they needed to know as the newest members of Conference Carolinas.
The conference staff also had breakout sessions focused on particular areas that would be of benefit to all involved in the sessions.
“I was already excited, but after visiting with both of these athletic departments again in person over the last couple of days, I am just thrilled to know that Francis Marion and UNC Pembroke are members of Conference Carolinas,” Commissioner Chris Colvin said. “Both of these institutions align perfectly with who we are in Conference Carolinas and I cannot wait to officially see both representing Conference Carolinas in the very near future.”
