Conference Carolinas Trio Ranked in USTFCCCA Men’s Cross Country Preseason Rankings

NEW ORLEANS, La. - The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches’ Association (USTFCCCA) has released its 2021 NCAA Division II Men’s Cross Country Preseason Rankings and Conference Carolianas had three institutions recognized. 

Emmanuel was ranked seventh in the Southeast Region followed by UNC Pembroke and Mount Olive before Lenoir-Rhyne rounded out the 10 teams ranked in the region. Queens (N.C.) was the top ranked team in the region followed by Augusta and Wingate. 

Grand Valley State garnered 237 points to claim the top spot in the preseason poll followed by Colorado School of Mines (235) and Adams State (224). The Southeast Region was represented by Queens (193), Augusta (159) and Wingate (115) who are ranked sixth, 11th and 17th, respectively.
