Megan Biehl and Ansley Robinson of North Greenville Selected Women’s Soccer Weekly Award Winners
GREENVILLE, S.C. – North Greenville’s Megan Biehl and Ansley Robinson captured the Conference Carolinas women’s soccer weekly honors for the week ending Sept. 12.
Biehl was chosen as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Robinson collected Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
A senior forward from Lenexa, Kansas, Biehl helped lead North Greenville to a 1-0-1 week. She had the game-tying goal in 1-1 tie at No. 11 Lenoir-Rhyne on Wednesday and followed that with the game-winning goal in a 1-0 road win to open conference play against Chowan. She put all seven of her shots on goal on the week.
A junior defender from Greer, Robinson helped guide the Crusaders back line in allowing just two goals. Robinson played all 200 minutes on the pitch last week, which included 110 in the double overtime tie with No. 11 Lenoir-Rhyne in which the defense allowed just seven shots on goal and eight total in the two games.
