Barton Chosen to Defend Title in Women’s Swimming Preseason Coaches’ Poll
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Reigning Conference Carolinas women’s swimming champion Barton finds itself atop the 2021-22 Conference Carolinas Women’s Swimming Preseason Poll.
The conference office officially released the preseason poll on Sept. 15, 2021. The preseason poll was voted on by the league’s head coaches.
Barton collected 47 points and five first-place votes to claim the top spot while Emmanuel was a close second with 44 points and a pair of first-place votes. Lees-McRae was picked third with 31 points followed by King (29), UNC Pembroke (28, one first-place vote), Chowan (19), Converse (14) and Salem (12).
The 2022 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Swimming Championships are scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 16-Saturday, Feb. 19 at the Kingsport Aquatic Center in Kingsport, Tennessee.
