Conference Carolinas to Return to Tyger River Park for 2022 Softball Championship

DUNCAN, S.C. – Conference Carolinas is excited to announce that it will be returning to Tyger River Park for its 2022 Softball Championship.
 
The 2022 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship will be contested April 28-May 1, 2022. The championship has been expanded to include 10 teams. The 2022 Conference Carolinas Softball Championship will begin with single-elimination games between the No. 8 and No. 9 seeds and the No. 7 and No. 10 seeds on Thursday, April 28 before the double-elimination portion of the bracket commences later that same day.
 
“Our Softball Championship during the spring of 2021 at Tyger River Park was a huge success,” Commissioner Chris Colvin noted. “Not only is Tyger River Park a tremendous facility that allows us to uniquely promote our first-class softball student-athletes, but it also gives us the opportunity to continue to enhance and further our tremendous relationship with OneSpartanburg, Inc.”
 
OneSpartanburg, Inc. is appreciative as well to continue to collaborate in numerous different ways with Conference Carolinas.

Director of Sports Tourism Development Kristyn Hawkins said. “Last year’s tournament benefitted Spartanburg and furthered our community’s relationship with Conference Carolinas, all while showcasing Tyger River Park’s status as a premier sports facility in the Southeast.”
 
In addition, the Spartanburg County Parks Department knows the relationship helps to showcase their top-notch facility.
