Joshua Chepkesir Captures Second Men’s Cross Country Weekly Honor
GREENVILLE, S.C. – For the second time in three weeks, Joshua Chepkesir of UNC Pembroke has been named the Conference Carolinas Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week.
A junior from Eldoret, Kenya, Chepkesir claimed his first individual title of the season with a win at the Converse Kick-Off Regional Preview on Saturday.
Chepkesir covered the 8K course in 25:02.9, besting last week’s runner of the week Cas Kopmels of Mount Olive by 6.9 seconds. The Braves finished seventh as a team in the event.
