Ketlyn Rodriguez Matos of UNC Pembroke Captures Women’s Swimming Weekly Honor
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Ketlyn Rodriguez Matos of UNC Pembroke has been selected as the Swimmer of the Week for women’s swimming for the week ending Jan. 16.
A sophomore from Ponce, Puerto Rico, Rodriquez Matos broke her own two-month old school record in the 200 breaststroke this past Saturday. Rodriquez Matos posted a time of 2:24.04 to win the 200 breaststroke in UNC Pembroke’s 150-112 dual meet team victory over Roanoke on Saturday, Jan. 15 at the UNCP Aquatics Center.
Rodriquez Matos won all three individual meets she competed in (100 breaststroke, 200 breaststroke and 200 individual medley) against Roanoke. She also was a part of the winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:39.26).
