Katy Neubert of King and Moena Battle of Emmanuel Named Weekly Award Winners for Women’s Indoor Track & Field
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Katy Neubert of King and Moena Battle of Emmanuel have been named the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas women’s indoor track & field for the week ending Jan. 16.
Neubert was selected as the Track Athlete of the Week, while Battle garnered Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
A junior from Johnson City, Tennessee, Neubert started her season strongly at the East Tennessee Track & Field Invitational by posting the top time in the 800 meters in Conference Carolinas this season with a time of 2:23.91. The time allowed her to finish second in the 800 meters at the NCAA Division I event.
A senior from Atlanta, Georgia, Battle posted her second-best mark of the season in the high jump at 1.65m at the Gamecock Opener. It was just below her current Conference Carolinas-best mark of 1.66m she set at the Visit Winston-Salem College Kickoff to start the season.
