Mount Olive, Belmont Abbey Crack Top-10 in Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Men’s Top 20 Preseason Poll
SPARKS, Md. – USA Lacrosse released the 2022 Nike/USA Lacrosse Division II Men's Preseason Top 20 poll, and a pair of Conference Carolinas institutions, Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey, cracked the top 10.
The Crusaders come in at No. 9 after sharing the league title with Mount Olive in 2021. Belmont Abbey defeated the Trojans in the conference championship game.
The Trojans are ranked 10th in the poll after they represented the league in the NCAA South Regional last season where they fell to preseason No. 3 Tampa.
The season begins on Friday, Feb. 4 while the conference tournament will begin on Tuesday, April 26 with the semifinals and finals at Barton on Friday, April 29 and Sunday, May 1. The complete poll is available here.
