Zaria Clark of UNC Pembroke Named Women’s Basketball Freshman of the Month for December
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Zaria Clark of UNC Pembroke has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women's basketball for December of 2021.
A guard from Stanley, North Carolina, Clark averaged 8.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.6 steals, 3.0 assists and 0.4 blocks in 20 minutes per game during the month of December. She began the month with a career-high 15 points in a 66-32 win over Lees-McRae on Dec. 3. She added six rebounds, two assists and a steal in 22 minutes. She also had 12 points in a 68-53 win over Belmont Abbey on Dec. 18. Three days earlier, on Dec. 15, she grabbed a month-high eight rebounds with five assists, two steals, a block and six points in a 76-40 win over Converse.
Clark has won both women’s basketball Freshman of the Month honors.
