Jackline Kosgei of UNC Pembroke Named Women’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Jackline Kosgei of UNC Pembroke was named Conference Carolinas women’s cross country Runner of the Week for the week ending Oct. 9. 

A native of Eldoret, Kenya, Kosgei earned her second Runner of the Week award this season with a first-place finish at the Skiah McMillian Invitational on Saturday with a school record time in the 6k race. 

The sophomore won the event with a time of 21:42.4 which broke a nine-year-old program record and helped the Braves to the team title.
