Luigi Da Silva of Emmanuel Chosen Men's Swimmer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. - Luigi Da Silva of Emmanuel has been chosen as the Swimmer of the Week for Conference Carolinas men's swimming for the week ending Oct. 9, 2022.
Da Silva finished first in all three of his events this past weekend he participated in at the Emmanuel Fall Invite. He posted the seventh-best time in NCAA Division II so far this season in the 100 freestyle with a 45.42. Da Silva also collected an NCAA Division II national qualifying time in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.70. The time for the freshman is presently best in all of NCAA Division II according to swimcloud.com.
In the 200 medley relay, Da Silva's split of 25.21in the breaststroke helped lead Emmanuel to first-place honors.
