UNC Pembroke Women’s Soccer Represents Conference Carolinas in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The first NCAA Division II women’s soccer region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Oct. 19 and UNC Pembroke is under consideration for a postseason spot.
The first region releases are a little different than in the past in that they do not feature official rankings, but rather the teams under consideration.
UNC Pembroke represented Conference Carolinas with an overall record of 13-2-1 overall and a 9-1-1 mark in league play. The Braves will be a top three seed in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship which begins later this month.
The 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship will include 56 teams with eight from the Southeast Region advancing to the tournament.
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
