Converse Men's Soccer Joins National Poll to Highlight Conference Carolinas Rankings Update

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas has had a successful fall campaign with six teams ranked in their respective national and/or regional polls in the sports of men’s and women’s soccer and men’s and women’s cross country.

In the seventh edition of the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 NCAA Division II Men’s Soccer Poll, Converse received votes in the national poll and climbed one spot to No. 3 in the Southeast Region with a 10-1-3 overall record and an 8-0-2 league mark. On the women’s side of the pitch, UNC Pembroke fell two spots to No. 5 in the Southeast Region at 12-2-1 while North Greenville remained at No. 10 with a 10-3-1 record. The regional rankings are available here with the national rankings here.

In addition to the USC poll, the NCAA released the first regional rankings of the season and Converse is under consideration for a postseason bid in men’s soccer Super-Region 2 while UNC Pembroke represented Conference Carolinas in the women’s Southeast Region rankings. On the cross country course, four Conference Carolinas programs were ranked in the men’s United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region rankings. Emmanuel led the way at No. 5 while Belmont Abbey, UNC Pembroke and Lees-McRae held their spots at seven, eight and nine, respectively. UNC Pembroke was the lone women’s cross country team to make the USTFCCCA Southeast Region rankings as they remained seventh. The women’s national poll is here while the regional rankings are available here.
