Deniz Aytun of King Named Conference Carolinas Women’s Tennis Player of the Week

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Deniz Aytun of King was selected as the Conference Carolinas Player of the Week for women’s tennis for the week ending Oct. 23.
 
Aytun, a native of Talavera de la Reina, Spain, took home the award for the second time in three weeks as she went 2-0 at No. 1 singles and won both her doubles matches on the week.

In singles play, Aytun won in straight sets (6-2, 6-2) over Brescia’s Deimante Krivickaite and defeated Milligan’s Kaitlyb Barrett in three sets (4-6, 6-1, 10-4).

In doubles she teamed with Mishka Koricinova to defeat Brescia’s pair of Deimante Krivickaite and Charly Hayden, 6-3, before defeating the Milligan duo of Heather Graf and Kylie Enarson, 7-5.
