South Atlantic Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestling Well Represented in NWCA Division II Preseason Poll

MANHEIM, Pa. – The preseason edition of the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) DII Coaches Poll was released on Friday, Oct. 21 and five South Atlantic Conference Carolinas institutions were mentioned in the poll. 
 
Lander, the 2022 Conference Carolinas Men’s Wrestling Champions, led the way at No. 7 with 47 total points and six individuals ranked. Belmont Abbey joined the Bearcats in the Top-25 at No. 22 with 18 points and three individuals ranked. Limestone led a group of three league teams to receive votes with 12 followed by Newberry (8) and UNC Pembroke (3).
 
In all, 13 individuals were ranked from the conference across seven of the 10 weight classes. Zeth Brower of Lander, the 2021-22 NCAA National Champion at 141-pounds, is the top-ranked South Atlantic Conference Carolinas wrestler. He is ranked No. 1 at 141 pounds.
