GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas released its Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Impact numbers and league institutions have tallied over 1,500 hours of community service, collected nearly 7,000 cans of food and raised nearly $2,500 for Make-A-Wish.

Beginning in 2003, NCAA Division II SAAC created a partnership with the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses. Division II has raised more than $6.6 million entering this season and Conference Carolinas has added to that number this fall.  Mount Olive leads the charge with $2,062 raised through September with North Greenville second with $213 raised while Emmanuel is third with $210. The canned food drive initiative was created by the SAAC leadership as a way to make more of an impact in the communities our institutions serve. Erskine leads the way with 2,474 items collected followed by North Greenville with 1,750 and Belmont Abbey with 940.

New this year, the Conference Carolinas SAAC is having a competition to see which institution attends more of the virtual SAAC programming events throughout the year. Conference Carolinas has held four events this fall and Francis Marion leads the way with 52 participants across the events. Lees-McRae is second with 31 attendees while Barton is third with 18.
