Emmanuel, UNC Pembroke Women’s Volleyball Represent Conference Carolinas in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The first NCAA Division II women’s volleyball region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Oct. 26 and Emmanuel and UNC Pembroke are under consideration for a postseason spot in the Southeast Region.
New this year for NCAA Division II sports with regional rankings, schools will be listed as under consideration in alphabetical order for the first ranking of the season.
Emmanuel is currently 20-7 overall, 19-7 against NCAA Division II competition and 17-3 against in-region opponents. The Lions are 14-1 in league play and currently the top seed in the West division.
UNC Pembroke is currently the top team in the East division with a 13-2 league record and a 16-13 overall mark. They are 16-12 against NCAA Division II opponents and 15-8 in the region.
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
