Ava O'Sullivan of Converse Selected Women’s Golf Freshman of the Month for September
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ava O'Sullivan of Converse has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women’s golf for September.
A freshman from Exton, Pennsylvania, O’Sullivan has been sensational for the Valkyries as she had a pair of top-two finishes in two events to begin her collegiate career. In her collegiate debut at the Montevallo Full Moon Invite at the par-71, 5,895-yard Timberline Golf Club on Sept. 12-13, O’Sullivan carded a 36-hole 143 (71-72) to finish second overall and lead Converse to a second-place team finish.
In her second event of the month, O’Sullivan earned her first event title as she captured individual medalist honors at the King Invitational with an impressive 146 (74-72). She finished five strokes clear of the field at the par-71, 5,852-yard Bristol Country Club. The team also won the event by 29 strokes.
