Conference Carolinas women’s soccer Player of the Year Anna Grossheim and teammate Kennedy Rucker were named to the all-region first team for UNC Pembroke. It’s the second straight season Grossheim has earned the accolade. Chiara Coppin and Ashleigh Harris joined their teammates on the second team while Romee Contreras and Conference Carolinas women’s soccer Defensive Player of the Year Ansley Robinson represented North Greenville on the second team.

Conference Carolinas men’s soccer Defensive Player of the Year Harri Lovett represented Chowan on the first team, his second straight all-region selection. The D2CCA Player of the Year award and all-region teams are nominated and selected by the region’s sports information directors.

The D2CCA encourages and promotes Division II athletics and high standards of sportsmanship as important elements of high education.  The D2CCA is a key communications link among the conferences as they discuss views, policies and regulations that impact NCAA Division II athletics and works closely with the NCAA as a communications channel to NCAA Division II member colleges and universities.

The 13 members of the All-Southeast Region first team will now be placed on the national ballot for All-America consideration. The All-America teams will be released Tuesday, Dec. 7. The complete All-Southeast region teams are available here.
