Emmanuel, UNC Pembroke Women’s Volleyball Ranked in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The second NCAA Division II women’s volleyball region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and Emmanuel and UNC Pembroke are both in the top-10 in the Southeast Region.
 
Emmanuel is No. 8 in the region after finishing the regular season 23-7 overall and 17-1 in league play. The Lions earned the No. 1 seed in the west division and are ranked in the region for the first time in program history. Emmanuel will face the winner of the East #2-West #3-#4-#5 matchup at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Championship semifinals hosted by UNC Pembroke.
 
UNC Pembroke was ranked 10th in the region with a 19-13 overall record and a 15-2 mark in conference play. The Braves are the No. 1 seed in the East after sharing the regular season title with Mount Olive. The Braves also advanced to the league semifinals and will face the winner of West #2-East #3-#4-#5 at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12
 
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
