Chiara Ambrosi of UNC Pembroke Selected Women's Swimming Freshman of the Month for October

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Chiara Ambrosi of UNC Pembroke has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Month for women's swimming for October. 
 
A native of Gorizia, Italy, Ambrosi captured two event titles, two runner-ups and a pair of third-place finishes in her first month of collegiate competition. She won the 200 IM event in a dual at Campbell and also earned the title in the same event in UNCP's tri-meet with Barton and NCAA Division III third-ranked Emory with a time of 2:13.07. Ambrosi finished second in the 200 Free (1:58.36) at the Barton/Emory Tri-Meet and also swam on a trio of runner-up relay finishes.

Ambrosi also swam in the 200 Breast (2:15.14) in the tri-meet with Emory and Barton and competed in the 200 Back (2:13.19) and 100 Fly (1:03.34) in a tri-meet with Lees-McRae and Cumberlands.
