2022 Conference Carolinas Cross Country Championship Preview
SPARTANBURG, S.C. – The 2022 Conference Carolinas Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be held on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Roger Milliken Center in Spartanburg. The event will feature all 13 Conference Carolinas institutions.
The championship, which is free of charge, will begin at 9 a.m. with the women’s 6k followed by the men’s 8k to follow at 10 a.m. An awards ceremony for both championships will be held after the men’s race.
On the women’s side, two teams are currently ranked in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Southeast Region rankings with Converse eighth and UNC Pembroke ninth. Both teams are looking for their first conference title with King looking to repeat as they have won two of the past three titles.
In the men’s event, three teams are ranked by the USTFCCCA led by UNC Pembroke at No. 4 while Emmanuel is seventh and Belmont Abbey is eighth. Emmanuel is the two-time defending conference champion while UNC Pembroke is seeking its first since returning to Conference Carolinas last season.

There are no admissions for the championship. A cash-only concession stand will be available.
