UNC Pembroke Women’s Soccer Seventh in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The third and final NCAA Division II women’s soccer region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Nov. 2 and UNC Pembroke is ranked seventh.
 
The Braves, who earned the No. 3 seed in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Soccer Championship, climbed two spots in the regional rankings with a 14-2-2 record as they defeated No. 6 seed Emmanuel in the quarterfinals of the conference tournament, 5-4, on penalty kicks. UNC Pembroke will face No. 2 seed Mount Olive in the conference semifinals on Friday, Nov. 4 at 1:30 p.m. at the Truist Soccer Complex at Bryan Park in Browns Summit, North Carolina.
 
The 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Championship will include 56 teams with eight from the Southeast Region advancing to the tournament.
 
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
