Emmanuel, UNC Pembroke Women’s Volleyball Remain Ranked in NCAA Southeast Region Rankings

GREENVILLE, S.C. – The third and final NCAA Division II women’s volleyball region rankings were unveiled on Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Emmanuel and UNC Pembroke each remain ranked in the Southeast Region.
 
Emmanuel held at No. 8 in the region. The Lions are 23-7 overall and 17-1 in league play. The Lions earned the No. 1 seed in the west division and will face the winner of the Mount Olive and King matchup at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12 in the Conference Carolinas Women’s Volleyball Championship semifinals hosted by UNC Pembroke.
 
UNC Pembroke improved one spot to No. 9 in the region with a 19-13 overall record and a 15-2 mark in conference play. The Braves are the No. 1 seed in the East after sharing the regular season title with Mount Olive. The Braves also advanced to the league semifinals and will face the winner of North Grenville and Francis Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12
 
The Southeast Region features three automatic bids with the winners of the Conference Carolinas, Peach Belt Conference and South Atlantic Conference tournaments earning automatic berths to the 2022 NCAA Division II Women’s Volleyball Tournament. The rest of the selections will be at-large choices.
