Anna Grossheim of UNC Pembroke Named United Soccer Coaches All-American

KANSAS CITY, Mo.  - United Soccer Coaches (USC) announced the 2022 NCAA Division II Men’s and Women’s All-Americans on Thursday and Anna Grosshem of UNC Pembroke represented Conference Carolinas on the women’s second team.

Grossheim, the Conference Carolinas women’s soccer Player of the Year, was a second team midfielder after being named First Team All-Southeast on Wednesday. The junior from Garner, North Carolina led Conference Carolinas in shots (113), shots on goal (54), goals (14) and assists (11) and shared the league perch with five game-winning goals, on the way to a career-best 39 points. She scored at least one point (goal or assist) in 12 outings this season, including multi-score efforts against Converse, Emmanuel, Barton and North Greenville. She was named United Soccer Coaches National Player of the Week on October 26 as well.

Grossheim, who became the first two-time All-American in the 21-year history of the program with a first team selection from the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2 CCA), once again made Braves’ history as the first-ever USC Second Team All-American. 

Overall 37 women and 34 men we recognized as All-Americans. This year’s All-Americans will be recognized for their accomplishments at the United Soccer Coaches All-America Ceremony & Reception on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia in conjunction with the United Soccer Coaches Convention.
