Three Conference Carolinas Institutions Represented in Recent National and Regional Polls

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Conference Carolinas continues to have strong representation in regional and national polls highlighted by UNC Pembroke men’s basketball in the national poll. 

The week five NCAA Division II Sports Information Directors Association (D2SIDA) regular season media poll for men’s basketball continued to rank UNC Pembroke 15th nationally with 165 points while the Braves are third in the Southeast Region with 42 points. Francis Marion also received votes in the region. The complete polls are available here.

The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) also released its fifth regular season poll and UNC Pembroke, who is 9-1 on the season, remained at No. 17 with 148 points. The poll is available here.

In the fifth edition of the D2SIDA women’s basketball regular season poll, Belmont Abbey jumped into the Southeast Region rankings at No. 8 with eight points and a 5-3 record on the season. The full poll is available here.
