Shannan Korovich and Kalbie Grassett of Lees-McRaeEarn Earn Women’s Lacrosse Weekly Honors
GREENVILLE, S.C. – The Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse Players of the Week for the week ending Feb. 13 are Shannan Korovich and Kalbie Grassett of Lees-McRae.
Korovich was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Grassett earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.
A sophomore midfielder from New Port Richey, Florida, Korovich tallied a game-high six goals to go along with two assists and a ground ball in a 15-14 overtime road loss at Montreat on Saturday, Feb. 12. She is tied for first in the Conference Carolinas with six goals so far this season and leads the league in points.
Grassett, a senior midfielder from Hancock, New Hampshire, tallied four goals, one assist, three ground balls and a game-high four caused turnovers in the loss to Montreat. She is tied for seventh in the league in goals and ranks second in caused turnovers.
