Alyssa Loo of Converse and Madeline Robison of King Earn NCATA Weekly Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. -  The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) announced its week two awards and Conference Carolinas student-athletes Alyssa Loo of Converse and Madeline Robison of King earned honors. 

Loo was selected as the Athlete of the Week while Robison was named Freshman of the Week.

Loo, a senior from Wesley Chapel, Florida, competed in 10 heats and team event for Converse last week against Coker. She competed as a base and led the Valkyries to high scores of 9.85 in both the acro six-element and open pyramid. She also helped Converse to scores of 9.80 in both the compulsory pyramid and inversion pyramid. In all, Loo helped the Valkyries record five scores 9.50 or higher.

Robison, a freshman top, base and tumbler from Loganville, Georgia, competed in 12 heats and team event for King last week. Her performance was highlighted by a trio of compulsory scores that were higher than 9.30 (including compulsory acro, compulsory pyramid and compulsory toss). She also competed in the six-element tumbling pass and scored a 9.0 out of 9.50.

Four Conference Carolinas student-athletes earned honorable mention honors as Hannah O’Dea and Alexi Wynn of King, Molly Hanley of Belmont Abbey and Ayanna Manning of Converse were recognized for their efforts.
