Hunter Stevens of Mount Olive Named NCBWA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week

WINGATE, N.C.- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced on Tuesday that Hunter Stevens of Mount Olive is the Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week.

The reigning Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Year, Stevens went 1-0 on the week with a save and an ERA of 0.00 with seven strikeouts in two appearances. The senior right-hander earned the save in the win over Catawba with 1.1 perfect innings and one strikeout. The Raleigh, North Carolina native then tossed a five-inning shutout with two hits, six strikeouts and two walks in the 7-inning , 10-0 win over Coker. This is the second NCBWA Pitcher of the Week honor for Conference Carolinas as Alex Hart of Barton received the honor on Feb. 8.

Lander University first baseman Mason Streater was named the Southeast Region Player of the Week.
