Caleb Eidson of Lees-McRae Tabbed Men’s Swimming Freshman of the Month for January
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Caleb Eidson of Lees-McRae has been tabbed as the Freshman of the Month for men’s swimming for the month of January of 2022.
Eidson claims the honor for the second time in the 2021-22 season.
A freshman from Hilton Head, South Carolina, Eidson opened the month of January by winning the 50 freestyle (24.32), the 100 freestyle (54.24) and swimming a leg of the winning 400-medley and 400-free relay teams in a dual meet against Emory & Henry on Jan. 14. He followed that up by winning the 50 freestyle (21.81) in a tri-meet against King and Mars Hill on Jan. 15.
Eidson closed out the month with a pair of second-place finishes in the 50 freestyle (21.89) and 100 freestyle (48.82) against Lenoir-Rhyne on Jan. 28. He finished second in the same two events (21.77 - 50 freestyle/49.57 - 100 freestyle) in a dual meet against Milligan on Jan. 29.
