GREENVILLE, S.C. The first Conference Carolinas women’s lacrosse Players of the Week for the 2022 season go to Tabitha Beecher of Southern Wesleyan and Emma Pherson of Belmont Abbey for the week ending Feb. 6.
 
Beecher was selected as the Offensive Player of the Week, while Pherson earned Defensive Player of the Week accolades.

A senior attack from Roanoke, Virginia, Beecher led the Warriors in a 16-10 loss to Mars Hill as she tallied five goals on 11 shots with two unassisted goals. 

Pherson, a sophomore midfielder from Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, helped lead the Crusaders to a 10-5 road win over Catawba. She scored a goal on four shots, caused a pair of turnovers and picked up four ground balls.
