Alex Hart of Barton Named NCBWA Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week
WINGATE, N.C.- The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) announced on Tuesday that Barton College senior left-hander Alex Hart is the Southeast Region Pitcher of the Week.
Hart went 1-0 on the week with a 1.43 ERA over 12 2/3 innings pitched with 19 strikeouts against two walks. In his first start of the season, Hart took a no-decision as he allowed two runs on five hits with six strikeouts over four innings against Coker. He followed that outing with 8 2/3 shutout innings against No. 17 Millersville on Feb. 6. He allowed eight hits in the win with two walks and 13 strikeouts.
Wingate University infielder Michael Dansky was named the Southeast Region Player of the Week.
