Ayanna Manning of Converse Chosen Acrobatics & Tumbling Freshman of the Month for February
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Ayanna Manning of Converse has been chosen as the Freshman of the Month for acrobatics & tumbling for February of 2022.
A freshman from Abingdon, Maryland, Manning helped lead No. 7 Converse to an undefeated February. She was selected Honorable Mention three times (week two, week three and week four) by the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) for its Freshman of the Week honor.
Manning competes in 10 heats in total for Converse, including the team event. She helped Converse pick up some fantastic scores over the course of the month, which included a 9.9 in the compulsory pyramid, a 9.85 in the compulsory toss and a 9.2 out of a 9.35 in compulsory tumbling. In the synchronized pyramid the Valkyries posted a 9.95 out of 10. She also helped Converse to an 8.85 out of 9.0 in the open pyramid, a 9.0 out of 9.0 in the synchronized pyramid, an 8.9 out of 9.1 in the open toss and a 9.05 out of 9.1 in the trio pass.
