Three From Conference Carolinas Chosen to Men’s Basketball D2CCA All-Southeast Region Team

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Three Conference Carolinas men’s basketball student-athletes have been chosen to the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) All-Southeast Region team.
 
Conference Carolinas had two players that were selected to the first team in Spencer Levi of UNC Pembroke and KJ Jones II of Emmanuel. Ta’Jay Dunlap of Southern Wesleyan was a second team selection.
 
Levi was tabbed as the Player and Defensive Player of the Year in Conference Carolinas. The St. Louis, Missouri native is the first player in league history to win both awards. The 6-foot-8 forward helped lead the Braves to the regular season crown in the school’s return to Conference Carolinas. Levi is averaging 16.1 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game entering the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional.
 
The 2020-21 Conference Carolinas Player of the Year and a first team choice in 2021-22, Jones averaged 20.7 points and 4.4 assists per game during the 2021-22 season. An NABC All-American in the 2020-21 season, the Atlanta, Georgia native and 6-foot-6 guard also led Conference Carolinas in steals with 2.1 per game.
 
A 5-foot-10 sophomore guard out of Columbia, South Carolina, Dunlap averaged 16.6 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for Southern Wesleyan in the 2021-22 season. A three-time All-Conference Carolinas selection, Dunlap was a first team All-Conference Carolinas choice this season.
 
Athletic communication professionals from NCAA Division II Southeast Region schools and conferences selected the D2CCA all-region teams. The process concludes with All-American selections announced later in the month.
 
The NCAA Division II Conference Commissioners sponsor the All-Region teams.
