Emma Leclercq of Mount Olive and Georgia Page of UNC Pembroke Named Co-Women’s Golfer of the Week
GREENVILLE, S.C. – Emma Leclercq of Mount Olive and Georgia Page of UNC Pembroke have been selected as Co-Golfer of the Week for Conference Carolinas women’s golf for the week ending March 15.
With her fourth honor in the last six weeks, Page led the Braves to the team title at the Emmanuel Spring Preview at Cateechee Country Club in Hartwell, Georgia. A redshirt junior from Sydney, Australia, Page carded a 76 in each round of the 36-hole event for a two-day total of 152 to claim individual medalist honors. She carded the lowest round of the day in round one and the second-lowest of day two.
Leclercq earned her second honor of the season as she led the Trojans to the team title at the Barton Intercollegiate at Wilson Country Club in Wilson, North Carolina. A senior from Castel nau le Lez, France, Leclercq also earned individual medalist honors with a 36-hole total of 145. She carded an opening-round even-par 72, tied for the best round of the tournament, and followed with a 73 in round two to win by three strokes.
