Conference Carolinas Unveils 2021-22 Men’s Bowling All-Conference Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas released its 2021-22 men’s bowling awards ahead of the start of the 2022 Men’s Bowling Championship which begins on Friday, March 25 in Gastonia, North Carolina. 
 
The 2021-22 all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.

A native of Fairport, New York, Alex Linnenbrink of Lincoln Memorial took home the inaugural Conference Carolinas Bowler of the Year and Freshman of the Year honors. In eight events this season, Linnenbrink won two events and recorded six top-10 finishes. He averaged 2111.70 over 40 games this season with wins at the Roto Grip Raider Classic and the Lincoln Memorial Challenge. Linnenbrink was also a three-time Conference Carolinas Bowler of the Week and three-time Freshman of the Month. 
 
Torrie Bartalone of LMU and Joey Kendrick of Emmanuel were selected as Co-Coach of the Year. Baratlone led the Railsplitters to the top seed in the upcoming Conference Carolinas Men’s Bowling Championships. Over 10 events this season LMU secured eight top-10 team finishes which include three event wins. Lincoln Memorial finished the season ranked 23rd in the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Collegiate Team Rankings.

Kendrick led the Lions to the No. 2 seed in the championship. Emmanuel competed in 10 events this season and recorded six top-10 finishes which include a pair of runner-up finishes at the Southeastern Shootout and the Seminole Classic.
