Justen Burnette and Jon Wojcuich of Mount Olive and Noah Meadows of Southern Wesleyan Capture Men’s Track and Field Weekly Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Justen Burnette and Jon Wojcuich of Mount Olive and Noah Meadows of Southern Wesleyan have been selected as the weekly award winners for Conference Carolinas outdoor track & field for the week ending March 20.
 
Burnette and Meadows were tabbed as the Co-Track Athletes of the Week, while Wojcuich picked up Field Athlete of the Week accolades.
 
A junior sprinter from Winston, North Carolina, Burnette opened the outdoor campaign with a blazing time of 10.42 in the 100m at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational which is an NCAA Division II Provisional time and the fastest time in NCAA II this outdoor season. He finished second in the event but won the 200m with a time of 21.29 which ranks fifth in the country and is .03 from a provisional mark. 

Meadows, a sophomore from Dunedin, Florida, set a pair of school records for the Warriors at the Trojan Opener. He finished second in the 200m with a provisional time of 21.16 which was also a program record and the fourth fastest in NCAA II. He also recorded a mark of 6.83m (22-5) in the long jump to place fourth and record his second program record. He also placed fourth in the 100m with a time of 10.63. 

A senior thrower from Beulaville, North Carolina, Wojcuich set a school record and recorded the top mark in the country with a hammer throw of 60.73m (199-3). He won the event at the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational and also placed 15th in the shot put (13.00m, 42-8) and 17th in the javelin (44.48m, 145-11).
