Conference Carolinas Unveils 2021-22 Women's Bowling All-Conference Honors

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Conference Carolinas released its 2021-22 Women's Bowling awards ahead of the start of the 2022 Women's Bowling Championship which begins on Friday, March 25 in Gastonia, North Carolina. 
 
The 2021-22 all-conference awards were chosen by the league's head coaches.

A sophomore from Webster, New York, Anschutz finished the regular season with the top individual scoring average in Conference Carolinas at 19.797 per frame over 1,199 frames and has the top individual strike percentage at 50 percent in 1,202 attempts. She knocks down nine pins or more on 73.7 percent of the first balls she throws with an average pinfall total of 9.031, also tops in the conference. In nine events this season she recorded six top-20 finishes which include a pair of top-10 places and an event title at the Mid-Winter Invitational. She was also a three-time Conference Carolinas Women’s Bowler of the Week.

Decker is also a three-time Conference Carolinas Women’s Bowler of the Week and was the four-time women’s bowling Freshman of the Month. A native of Van Wert, Ohio, Decker finished the regular season fourth in individual scoring average (18.916) and strike percentage (43.2 percent). She also ranked third in individual split conversion percentage at 21.4 percent. In nine events this season she recorded four top-20 finishes with three coming inside the top-10. 
 
The 2021-22 Conference Carolinas men’s bowling Co-Coach of the Year, Torrie Bartalone of Lincoln Memorial was also named the women’s bowling Coach of the Year. Bartalone led the Railsplitters to the top seed in the Conference Carolinas Championship thanks to a team scoring average of 18.95 pins per frame. Lincoln Memorial is 45-39 in baker match play this season with six top-10 finishes in nine events which include two event titles.
