GASTONIA, N.C.– The inaugural Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Men’s and Women’s Bowling Championships will take place Friday, March 25 - Sunday, March 27 at Liberty Lanes in Gastonia, North Carolina.
 
The event, which is a partnership between Conference Carolinas and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference, will feature a best-of-7 baker match play format with the championship matches being contested in the mega-match format. The regular-season awards ceremony on Friday, March 25 at 11 a.m. and the championship matches and championship awards ceremony on Sunday, March 27 will be live-streamed. 
 
The event will feature six institutions in Belmont Abbey, Emmanuel, Kentucky Wesleyan, Lincoln Memorial, Tusculum and Walsh.
 
In the women’s bracket, Lincoln Memorial claimed the top seed in the tournament and will face No. 6 Belmont Abbey in match one on Friday, March 25 at 8:30 a.m. Emmanuel is the No. 2 seed and will face fifth-seeded Kentucky Wesleyan in match two while No. 3 Tusculum will face No. 4 Walsh in match three, all at 8:30 a.m. 
 
The second round at 10 a.m. Friday will feature the winner of match one vs. the loser of match three, the winners of match two and three and the losers of match one and two all competing for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 26 at 8:30 a.m. The semifinals will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m. with the championship match on Sunday, March 27 at 8 a.m.
 
In the men’s bracket, Lincoln Memorial claimed the top seed in the tournament and will face No. 6 Kentucky Wesleyan in match one on Friday, March 25 at 1 p.m. Emmanuel is the No. 2 seed and will face fifth-seeded Tusculum in match two while No. 3 Walsh will face No. 4 Belmont Abbey in match three, all at 1 p.m. 
 
The second round at 2:30 p.m. Friday will feature the winner of match one vs. the loser of match three, the winners of match two and three and the losers of match one and two all competing for a chance to advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday, March 26 at 12 p.m. The semifinals will take place on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. with the championship match on Sunday, March 27 at 12 p.m.
