Rankings Update: Conference Carolinas Continues Strong Position Nationally and Regionally

GREENVILLE, S.C. – With spring sports in full swing, Conference Carolinas continues to fill the regional and national polls. 

In the latest Off the Block Division II Men’s Volleyball Coaches Poll released this week Mount Olive was ranked No. 6 with 54 points while North Greenville was No. 10 with 12 points. King, Emmanuel, Barton, Belmont Abbey and Erskine each received votes. The Off the Block poll is available here.

The National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) unveiled the first set of championship rankings on March 23 and three Conference Carolinas institutions are ranked in the top-10 led by Limestone at No. 6 followed by Converse at No. 7 and King at No. 9. The top eight teams in the final ranking will qualify for the 2022 NCATA National Championship Tournament. The next set of rankings will be released on Wednesday, March 30, 2022. In the latest men’s Golfstat rankings, Barton is No. 17 with Belmont Abbey coming in at No. 24. The full ranking is available here

The United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA)/Dynamic 2022 Men’s Coaches Division II Poll was released for the week of March 21 and Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey received votes. Inside Lacrosse also released its week 4 media poll and Mount Olive ranked 18th with three points. The USILA poll is available here while the Inside Lacrosse poll is here.

In women’s lacrosse, the Inside Lacrosse (IL) Women/Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Division II Poll was released on March 21 and Mount Olive and Belmont Abbey received votes in the poll which is available here

The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) released the sixth regular season poll of the year and North Greenville was ranked 20th in the national poll with 99 points and ranked fifth in the Southeast Region rankings with 62 points while UNC Pembroke received votes in the national poll and sixth in the region with 53 points. Mount Olive was ranked eighth with 29 points while Belmont Abbey is ninth with 25 points. Collegiate Baseball also released their third regular season poll and North Greenville climbed five spots to No. 7 with 144 points while Mount Olive, Belmont Abbey and UNC Pembroke received votes. The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released the second Division II Men’s ITA Collegiate Tennis National Team Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point. The rankings includes the top 50 teams from around the country as well as the top 75 singles and top 50 doubles. In the men’s team rankings, Barton was No. 19 with a computerized average of 36.849, Belmont Abbey was No. 27 (24.014), Francis Marion was No. 35 (17.733) and Mount Olive was 46th (13.101). In the women’s doubles rankings, the Erskine pair of Emma Bentz and Luize Valtere are ranked 34th.
